Frequently Asked Questions — Everything You Need to Know About Our Online Quran Classes

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Contact our team directly via WhatsApp and we will be happy to help. We typically respond within a few hours and will do our best to answer any questions about our courses, teachers, scheduling, pricing, or how online Quran learning works.

Getting Started

The first step is booking a free trial class — it takes less than two minutes. Choose a date, time, and your preferred teacher gender, and we will confirm your slot within a few hours. After the trial, if you’d like to continue, simply choose a monthly plan and your regular classes begin the following week.
Yes — every new student receives one completely free 30-minute trial class. No credit card is required. No commitment. It is a real, live session with a certified Quran teacher — not a sales pitch. Book your trial on our Book Free Trial page.
Your child’s trial teacher will introduce themselves warmly, ask a few friendly questions to understand your child’s current Quran level, run a short sample lesson, and then give you a clear recommendation for which course to start with and at what level. Most children leave the trial class excited to come back.
In most cases your free trial can be scheduled within 24 to 48 hours of booking. Regular classes begin the week after your trial once the teacher match is confirmed — usually within 2 to 3 days.

Our Teachers

Yes — all teachers at [Academy Name] hold formal qualifications in Quran recitation, Tajweed, and/or Islamic studies. Our Tajweed and Hifz teachers additionally hold an Ijazah — a chain of authority in Quranic recitation that traces back to the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). All teachers are vetted, background-checked, and assessed for their ability to teach children before joining our team.
Yes, always. When booking your trial class and when setting up your regular schedule, you will be asked for your preference. We have both male and female certified Quran teachers available for all courses. Many families prefer a female teacher for daughters — we have a dedicated team of qualified female tutors for exactly this reason.
Teacher-student chemistry matters enormously in Quran education. If after the first few regular sessions you feel a different teacher would be a better fit — for any reason — simply message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange a new match at no extra cost, no questions asked.
All our teachers are fluent in English. Many also speak Urdu, and some speak Arabic. When booking, you can specify if you need a teacher who speaks a particular language — we will match accordingly.

Scheduling & Flexibility

We serve students across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, the UAE, and over 25 other countries. Our teachers are available from early morning to late evening — 7 days a week including weekends — so we can accommodate virtually any time zone combination.
Yes. If your family’s schedule changes, message us on WhatsApp and we will adjust your slot to a new time that works. We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for schedule changes so we can prepare the teacher’s calendar accordingly.
If you give at least 12 hours’ notice, the class is rescheduled at no charge — we will find the next available slot that week. For same-day cancellations due to emergencies, we will always try our best to find an alternative. Missed classes without notice are not credited.
Yes — you can pause your subscription for up to one month per year. Message us at least 5 days before your next payment date. Your plan simply resumes the following month when you are ready.

Pricing & Payment

Our plans start from $39 per month for 8 sessions (2 sessions/week at 30 minutes each). Our most popular Standard plan is $59/month for 12 sessions. Family plans are available from $49 per child per month for 2+ children. See our full pricing breakdown on the Plans & Pricing page.
No — none whatsoever. The monthly price you see is the only amount you will ever pay. There are no registration fees, no material costs, no certificate fees, and no cancellation fees. Total transparency, always.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) through Stripe, as well as PayPal. We accept payment in USD, GBP, AUD, and CAD. For other currencies, contact us and we will find the most convenient method.
Yes — cancel any time by sending a WhatsApp message or email. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and no complicated process. Your plan simply does not renew at the end of the current billing month.

Technical Requirements

All you need is a device with a camera and microphone (laptop, tablet, or smartphone), a stable internet connection, and a free Zoom or Google Meet account. No special software, no learning portal downloads, and no complicated setup. If your child can do a video call, they are ready for our classes.
Classes are held via Zoom or Google Meet — whichever your family prefers. Both are free to use and work on any device. Your teacher will send the meeting link before each session.
Technical issues happen occasionally. If a connection drops mid-class, your teacher will call you on WhatsApp immediately and you can rejoin via phone if needed. The class is never cancelled for a technical issue — it is always completed or rescheduled.

Safety & Quality

Completely. All our teachers are background-checked and vetted before joining the team. Classes are conducted via video call, which means you can — and we encourage you to — sit in at any time. Every session is with the same teacher your child knows well, not a rotating roster of strangers.
For one-on-one learning, online teaching is just as effective as in-person — and in many cases more so, because the child is in a comfortable familiar environment with zero distractions from other students. Our students’ progress rates are comparable to those achieved in the best traditional Quran schools. The key factor is not the medium — it is the quality of the teacher and the consistency of attendance.
This is the most important argument for one-on-one teaching. In a group class or with an app, incorrect pronunciation can go unnoticed for months. With our teachers, every sound your child makes is heard and corrected in real time. Your detailed progress report after every session also keeps you informed of exactly what is being worked on and what is correct.

For Children Specifically

We welcome children from 5 years old. For children aged 5 to 6, we typically recommend starting with Noorani Qaida — short 30-minute sessions with a teacher who specialises in very young learners. Children younger than 5 are assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on their readiness to sit, focus, and follow simple instructions.
For children aged 5 to 7, sessions are 30 minutes — perfectly calibrated for a young child’s attention span. For children aged 8 and above, 45-minute sessions are available and typically more productive for Tajweed and Hifz work.
This is very common, especially in the first session. Our teachers are specifically trained in working with shy and anxious children — they never rush, never pressurise, and always begin with gentle conversation before any Quran work. In our experience, even the shyest children are relaxed and engaged within two or three sessions. We recommend parents sit in for the first class to help the child feel secure.

For Adults

Yes — while our primary focus is children, we welcome adult learners of all ages. Whether you are a parent who wants to improve your own recitation, a new Muslim learning from scratch, or someone who learned Quran as a child and wants to correct old habits — our teachers work with adults as naturally as they do with children.
It is never too late. Adults often progress faster than children in the early stages of Noorani Qaida because they can apply more deliberate focus. The main difference is that adults need slightly more repetition for long-term retention than young children — which is why consistent daily practice of even 10 minutes makes a significant difference for adult learners.
